- Flinders View Primary School used Community Water Grants Round 3 funding to install KISSS Sub-surface Textile Irrigation. This system covers 16,800 square metres of school ovals and sports fields.
First, the sub surface irrigation is put into the ground, fertilizer is added and new grass is planted.
Once installed, water is delivered direct to the roots, encouraging moist ground and deeper growth of roots.
This process alone is estimated to save the school 1,341, 648 litres of water each year.
